The first number of Cognitio: Revista de Filosofia was published in 2000. Since then, Cognitio has established a solid international reputation, aside from being the most important Brazilian journal for publishing works related to the philosophical tradition of Pragmatism. 

Texts resulting from conferences and communications presented at the International Meetings on Pragmatism have also been regularly published in Cognitio.

Cognitio-Estudos is the younger journal published by CEP. Launched in 2004, Cognitio-Estudos initially intended to publish articles by young researchers, graduate students, recent masters and recent doctors.

The Editorial Project has developed over the years to include submissions from senior authors who wish to publish their developing research in a more work-in-progress fashion.
