The Center for Pragmatism Studies (CPS [CEP]), of the Philosophy Graduate Program at PUC-SP, was founded in 1998 by professor Ivo A. Ibri. The mission is to promote the study of Pragmatism and, in particular, the work of Charles S. Peirce, contributing to the community of scholars from different countries and cultures, as well as to contemporary philosophical dialogue. Through the great international influence of its founder, CPS has regularly organized the International Meeting on Pragmatism (IMP), an event widely recognized for bringing together the most respected researchers of the world pragmatism. Pioneer in the creation of the Cognitio journal and Cognitio-Estudos, journals of international prestige, dedicated to the publication of articles, essays, reviews and translations about pragmatism and other currents that touch it in some way,
